Tactics for Traveling the Technical Path
Presented by Anne Meixner, Ph.D (E 1993), Principal Consultant, The Engineers’ Daughter LLC, annemeixner.com

“85% of your financial success is due to your personality and ability to communicate, negotiate and lead. Shockingly, only 15% is due to technical knowledge” - Carnegie Institute of Technology

Interested in shifting gears from engineer contributor to engineer leader? Transitioning into a leadership role in engineering relies on your ability to relate, listen and influence others while also demonstrating strong innovation, writing and presentation skills.

This interactive webinar will assist with your development as an engineer leader, while showing tactics to overcome the boulders blocking your path. Specifically, you’ll be asked to:

• Prepare an audience profile worksheet for an upcoming presentation
• List several creativity habits that you can consider incorporating into your everyday engineering
• Apply technical paper reading strategy to increase your depth/breadth in a technical topic
• Identify one area to focus on that shifts you from engineer contributor to engineer leader
